GeoNumerics joins AEROS Ecosystem to boost Aerospace Innovation
GeoNumerics, new partner of AEROS Ecosystem, attended the Catalonia Aerospace & Defence Dual-Use Forum 2025.
GeoNumerics, a small company in geomatics and navigation technologies, is proud to announce its acceptance as full member of AEROS Ecosystem, a collaborative platform dedicated to fostering innovation and sustainability in the aerospace sector. By joining AEROS, GeoNumerics strengthens its commitment to developing technological excellence and cooperation within the European aerospace community. With its expertise, GN will actively contribute to support the ecosystem’s mission of promoting research and the development of cutting-edge aerospace applications.
AEROS, based in Viladecans, Spain, is the organization that brings together the aerospace, space and defence ecosystem of Catalonia, driving business opportunities for small-and-medium-enterprises (SMEs) and industries through the creation and design of projects within working groups, and their Commissions (Talent, Industry, Strategic Projects and the AEROs Defence Aerospace Innovation Task Force) by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and partnership among companies, technology centres and key stakeholders.
As a new member, GeoNumerics looks forward to contributing to joint initiatives and co-developing solutions for aerospace challenges alongside other industry leaders.

Last week AEROS and Foment del Treball organised the Catalonia Aerospace & Defence Dual-Use Forum 2025. This Forum aimed to position the Catalan industry as a benchmark in the development and application of dual-use technologies (civil and defence) with a business, economic and social vision. During the event, the Spanish National Contact Point of the European Defence Fund (EDF) outlined the main topics of the upcoming calls. In this context, GeoNumerics is coordinating a EDF project, Q-SING “Quantum-based Simultaneous inertial Navigator and vector Gravimeter”, which aims to demonstrate a free-inertial high-accuracy navigation system able to operate in GNSS denied areas on all types of vehicles, from submarines to aircraft.
Additionally, the Forum marked the official launch of the Defence Aerospace Innovation Task Force as part of AEROS initiative.
“After participating in the Catalonia Aerospace & Defence Dual-Use Forum, we are really thrilled to join AEROS” said Ismael Colomina, CEO of GeoNumerics. “This collaboration opens new opportunities for joint innovation, access to shared resources, and the development of impactful aerospace solutions aligned with European strategic goals.”
GeoNumerics is a research and development (R&D) intensive SME specializing in geomatics and navigation. The company focuses on developing state-of-the-art methods and algorithms for positioning, orientation, and navigation, particularly for determining and analysing the trajectories of land, air, and space vehicles through the integration of data from multiple sensors such as INS (Inertial Navigation Systems) and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems).
AEROS ecosystem is an organization that aims to promote business opportunities for SMEs and industries in the aeronautical and space sectors. It acts as a collaborative platform to foster innovation, strategic projects and partnerships among companies, technology centres and other stakeholders in aerospace, space and defence.
